Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Twill, operated by Changyeon Kim, handles information in its iOS and Android photo editor.

Photos stay on your device

Photos you select are processed locally for editing. Twill does not upload your photos to its preset service. Edited images are added to your photo library only when you save. iOS requires permission to add photos; Android 9 and earlier require storage permission. Android 10 and later use MediaStore without broad photo-library permission. Recipes, editing settings, and imported image copies are stored in the app on your device.

Preset downloads and technical logs

Twill connects to Supabase to download its preset catalog, preset files, and thumbnails. These requests disclose your IP address and technical request information, such as request time, resource path, response status, and standard network headers, to the service provider. Supabase service logs can retain request information for service operation, security, and troubleshooting. Retention depends on the provider’s service plan and logging settings; logs are not retained indefinitely by the app itself. See Supabase’s privacy policy.

Your account

You can use Twill without an account. Signing in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password is optional; the app suggests it after a Pro purchase so you can keep Pro on your account. When you sign in, we store your email address and an account ID with our sign-in provider, Supabase, to create your account, keep you signed in, and let you delete it. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive an Apple relay address instead. Passwords are handled by Supabase and are not visible to us. We use this information only to run the app, not for advertising.

Purchases

TWILL Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your payment card details. The app checks your purchase status with the store on your device to unlock Pro features.

Usage analytics and crash reports

Twill uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. Analytics records app events such as screens opened, onboarding completed, paywall shown, purchases and restores, photos imported or saved, and filters, recipes, collage layouts, templates, effects, or frames used (including which items are selected or saved), together with an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, app version, and approximate country derived from the IP address. Crash reports include the stack trace, device and OS details, and whether you use the free or Pro plan. This data is not linked to your email address or account, does not include your photos, and is not used for advertising. Google retains Analytics data for up to 14 months and crash data for up to 90 days. Twill also counts daily app use on our own server (Supabase): once a day the app sends a random install identifier created on your device, the platform, the app version, and whether Pro is active. This is used only to count users and is not linked to your account. See Firebase privacy information.

Advertising and tracking

Twill contains no advertising or cross-app tracking features. It does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA or Android advertising ID) or precise location.

Device performance diagnostics

To find and fix overheating and slowdowns, the app sends short performance summaries to our server (Supabase): the device’s thermal state during a session (how long it stayed warm or hot), which app screen or task was running at the time, the number of exports, low-power mode, session length, device model, OS and app version, and a random install identifier that is not linked to your account. No photos or personal content are included.

Contacting support

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to provide are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending sensitive information or personal photos that are not needed to resolve the issue.

Your choices

You control photo permissions in your device settings. You can delete your account in the app at Settings > Account > Delete account (or see how to delete your account), which removes your email address and account ID from our server. You can remove local app data by deleting Twill. Photos already exported to your library are managed in Photos. For questions about personal information, access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@superpuppy.app. Technical server logs may not be attributable to a particular person without additional information.

Service providers and international processing

Sign-in and preset requests are handled by Supabase, and analytics and crash reports by Google Firebase; these providers may process technical information outside your country. This support website is hosted on GitHub Pages; normal website requests may be recorded by those providers. Information is shared for delivering and securing the services, not for advertising features in Twill.

This policy may be updated when Twill’s features or information handling changes. The date shown below identifies the current version.
